We Built the Place
We Wished Existed
We were raising three young children without family nearby. We needed a place to recharge, work, and build connections — while our kids were in a growth and enrichment oriented environment.
So we built it.
Meet the Team
The People Behind Illuminate
Dr. Charisse Balance, DPT, RYT
Co-Founder · Doctor of Physical Therapy
Pelvic health PT and certified yoga instructor dedicated to maternal health in Ventura County. With a Doctorate in PT and background in Exercise Physiology and Psychology, Charisse empowers mothers with specialized pre- and post-natal care. Her expertise includes pelvic floor therapy, birth preparation, cesarean scar treatment, and postpartum recovery. Charisse partners with local hospitals, midwives, OB-GYNs, and wellness centers, fostering a trauma-informed, inclusive approach to family wellness.
Paddy Sullivan
Co-Founder · Operations & Strategy
An entrepreneur with a proven track record of founding and scaling innovative businesses. Paddy's strategic leadership, operational expertise, and business acumen are essential as Illuminate Studios expands to become a pioneering family service center in Ventura County. He's also deeply connected to the local community, teaching a bilingual Spanish/English Law and Business course at the Contractors State License School.
